National Qualifications Process

The introduction of national qualifications was initially discussed in the first Parking and Traffic Workshop held in Hobart 1996. Following that initial discussion, the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) and Clare O'Kelly, of "All-In Productions" were approached and were involved in the development of competency based training for the Parking & Information Officers throughout Australia.

The introduction of the Certificate III in Environmental Health and Regulations now means that Parking and Information Officers can gain a qualification that recognises their expertise in areas such as, Parking Enforcement & Customer Services. The majority of training and assessment is conducted "on the job" & assessments are based on current competencies as well as recognition of prior learning (RPL).
